To download the latest version of the ABC Kids app, please visit the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The play next feature does not work for collections displaying episodes of different shows and will only play episodes of that same show. Play Next can be enabled or disabled within Settings page accessed by the home screen. A countdown will appear over the thumbnail to indicate when the next episode will be starting. Pressing on the thumbnail at any stage will begin playback of the next episode. As the currently playing episode ends, a thumbnail of the next episode will appear on the bottom left side of the screen. Upon completion of an episode of a show, the next episode of that show (if available) will automatically begin playing. The app will also unlock itself automatically two hours after the last elapsed timer. Once the timer has elapsed the app will lock, preventing further video playback until unlocked via the pin pad. The timer allows parents to set a session length of up to 60mins. The timer can be set in the Settings page.
If you set a filter, you may wish to check back as your child ages to see if the filters are still appropriate. Filtering out shows will hide them from your child's view on the home screen, and your preferences can easily be changed at any time. Parents have the ability to filter out certain shows in the Filter Content page, accessible via the main Settings menu. You may also be prompted to input a PIN when onboarding for the first time.
